Professor of Theology

JOB SUMMARY:

Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary seeks as a colleague a constructive theologian of wide interests, whose energies are devoted to teaching and scholarship which freshly and faithfully articulate Christian faith for the contemporary world. Candidates for this open-rank, tenured or tenure-track position must have a heart for teaching, a strong and critical love for the Church, and a passion for helping to form the next generation of pastoral leaders. Teaching responsibilities include an introductory theology course, upper-level electives, and courses engaging Reformed tradition. Applications are particularly encouraged from those of diverse and marginalized identities, which can include gender, sex, sexual orientation, nationality, ethnicity, social status, disability, and religion.

This professor of Theology will teach students in our Master of Divinity, Master of Arts in Religion, Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy, and Doctor of Ministry degree programs. In addition, they will have opportunities to participate in the Black Church Studies program. We anticipate this appointment beginning in summer 2025.
