In this hurting world, LPTS is preparing us in profound ways to be both teachers and healers. God's work is not lucrative business, and the students called to this place are people who already have both shoulders to the wheel. Coursework, making ends meet, and caring for our communities is an impossible load with help. I could not have considered taking the time from my career to pursue this degree without knowing that I had help to keep me from drowning in debt.”

DAY OF GIVING FAQS

What is LPTS Day of Giving?

It's a special day set aside once a year devoted exclusively to communicating with alums and friends of Louisville Seminary to ask for your help with financial support. As a faith-based nonprofit institution of higher education, we rely on support from individuals (as well as, grants, endowments, and more), to do what we do—which is to educate people to proclaim the Gospel, to care for all, and to work for justice in Communities everywhere. THEREFORE, we show appreciation for, and ask for support from, our entire community on this day.

How does LPTS Day of Giving work?

We put a lot of planning into this special day. This year we are celebrating by awarding a variety of alums with “Distinguished Alum Awards,” the “First Generation Award”, and the “Faithful Steward” award. It makes sense, because these exceptional individuals showcase the positive influence and impact our alums have in the world.

We also have created four areas of giving, so supporters can designate their gifts for a particular area — The Seminary Fund, Black Church Studies, Endowed Scholarship, and Tuition Scholarship.

As far as giving – you can give online on April 23, or mail a check and designate it for “LPTS Day of Giving.” We have set goals and will track and report the results of this day as we rally together to position and fund LPTS for great future success.

How Can I Get Involved?

Your influence and voice are important as we raise support this year. Lastly, please continue to pray for the Seminary and our students as we prepare for Commencement this spring, a new cohort this fall, and as we continue to seek leadership from the Holy Spirit to contribute to a vibrant future for our students, institution, and world.

Why Should I Make a Donation on April 23?

This is a special focused day we set aside each year specifically to ask alums and friends for support. We have identified four specific areas of giving, so you can align what's most important to you with your gift. Your support is vital to the ongoing programs and mission of LPTS and this day is an opportunity to be counted among those who take THEREFORE action on behalf of LPTS.

Can I Make a Gift Before April 23?

Of course! If sending a check, we ask that you designate on the check that it is for the 2025 Day of Giving, so we can tally your gift with the ones made on that day. If giving online, at LPTS.edu/forms/donate, please note in the “Leave a Comment” section that your gift is for the 2025 Day of Giving.

Is My Gift Tax Deductible?
